Phishing e-mails

The biggest clue that e-mails (from banks) are fake is if you don't have an account with them!!

If you do ahve an account with that bank I would advise it's a Phishing e-mail as there are a few factors that prove this, these being -

The address in the URL bar should be HTTPS to prove it's a secure site,
There should be a padlock in the bottom bar to also prove it's a secure site,
The Engllish translation of the whole e-mail is very poor & an organisation of that size would know how to write their e-mails properly
It's a very informal letter if you are a customer
The bank would already know all your details including your username etc
If you were to cut & paste the URL or even hover over it, you would realise it would come up saying a different thing.
